You've got to love a game that your only complaints of it are that it's too short and too fair in its difficulty. There's really there's no downside here. The graphics are colorful and beautiful, Character design fits perfectly. The music is outstanding. The list of good parts goes on and on.

While not specifically old-school, Bean's Quest combines simple, effective controls with clever level designs to make a solid, if brief, platformer.
  3. Aug 1, 2011
If you're willing to roll the dice on Bean's Quest and the developers following through with their update plans, Bean's Quest is an effortless recommendation.
  4. Aug 3, 2011
Free updates have already been announced, but as it is Bean's Quest is a funny and cute platformer which is ultimately turned down by a tremendous lack of content.
  5. Feb 7, 2012
This one probably comes more recommended for those who want a challenge provided by a meta-game as opposed to just the game itself. Otherwise, this is a fun 16-bit romp that fits well on the touchscreen.

Bean's Quest isn't perfect, but it provides a spirited and slickly presented slice of platforming action for iOS gamers, with six challenging worlds that offer good value for the £1.99 asking price.
