Bit.Trip Run! is everything you could ask for in an endless runner.

As a port, BIT.TRIP RUN! is perfect, standing up to its predecessor while simultaneously meeting the challenge of an entirely new control scheme.

I'm never happy to see big coming soon signs in lieu of a proper ending, and the packed-to-the-bursting-point controls can cause frustrating let-downs, but on the whole, I think Bit.Trip Run! accomplishes the somewhat lofty goal of being a worthy premium-priced entry to a genre with no shortage of great freebies.

A handsome and comprehensive port of Bit.Trip Runner 2, which is let down a little by slightly laggy controls.

In practice there's a niggling suspicion that your deaths aren't always your own fault. [Jan 2014, p.82]

BIT.TRIP RUN! is worth picking up for a neat audio visual experience that delivers a lot of challenge to run through.

The spotty controls don't exactly make the game unplayable, but it certainly makes playing an unpleasant experience. BIT.TRIP RUN is a bad version of an amazing game.
