I've no reason to doubt this game will be improved with updates, but as it stands right now, it's going to need a fair bit of work to fully realize the fantastic potential laying tantalizingly just out of reach.
Tempting as it is to instantly dismiss Block Fortress: War as unfair, it grows on you the longer you plug at it.
Block Fortress: War offers focused building blocks to make for some great close combat strategic entertainment for iOS that make it a should buy.
It's a slightly jumbled affair, but there's enough fun in Block Fortress War's angular battles to keep you entertained.
Block Fortress: War’s unique blend of real-time strategy with tower defense and base building gains ground early, but gets bogged down in the trenches before long.
An admirably deep strategic experience, Block Fortress: War is let down by unintuitive controls and balance issues.
Questionable design choices and punishingly punitive gameplay make for a somewhat disappointing follow-up to Foursaken Media's smash hit.
