This is a free-to-play game fun, balanced, and that let's you play even if you don't pay, something many other games have forgotten. We feel there's a multiplayer mode missing, but still deserves a try.
Boom! Tanks is a wonderful example of how simplicity can make for a fun action game.
With its simple gameplay and addictive, progression-based structure, Boom! Tanks can be a perfect game for very short but frequent sessions on mobile devices. After an initial push, powered also by the deep customization options, however, the lack of variety becomes undeniable.
It doesn't matter how fun a game is when more time is spent in menus than in the heat of combat.
Boom! Tanks isn't exactly the deepest simulator you'll ever lay your hands on, then, but it's definitely a pleasure to play.
The main gameplay can be a little tiring over long periods of play, but Boom! Tanks is otherwise a compulsive game of simple tank combat.
