With such old-school sensibilities grafted onto such contemporary presentation, Boy Loves Girl can bring entertainment to both young and old, offering equal amounts of cheer and challenge. You will have to go far to find a game as pleasing, but why bother when this one is available?
A cartoon-style romance full of silliness, Boy Loves Girl hides a fiendishly addictive game under a simple premise, then dares you to escape its obsessive trials.
When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, you've screwed up. Start the level over and try again.
Each of the seven different worlds is as creative as the last, and Boy Loves Girl is the ideal game to drop in on for short doses or extended sessions. It makes a pleasant change to play something so full of charm and originality.
Boy Loves Girl has a charming art direction and some clever gameplay mechanisms, but soon it gets repetitive and a little boring.
Boy Loves Girl is a perfect start to a niche series that could include Girl Loves Boy, Boy Loves Bunnies and Girl Loves the Neighbour. For Valentine´s Day it is a perfect gift with an icon showing your love. It will of course work well at other times, as well and I think it is a good title to have in your arsenal of gifts.
Boy Loves Girl has the feeling of an art game, but the message is overshadowed by frustrating gameplay and bland visuals.
