It’s got its heart in the right place aspiring to be like the Final Fantasy or Xenoblade series, but it’s still caught up in the platform paradigms we know all too well. In other words, it’s fine for its time, just not timeless.
This game is amazing, stop being haters u scrubs. That is why i am level 199 because i am too mlg pro for your hater selves so go try a bottle of bleach you scrubs.
I truly do not know where to begin when it comes to this game. It's not bad, but it's also not good either. This game presents a new take on the Turn-Base RPG type games. The controls are simple and easy to follow. You start the game by getting a sort of "starting unit" in the sort of essence as you do in Pokemon, and the game start's you on the tutorial level, which practically explains the ins and outs of the game as well as the mechanics. The game itself comes with four primary hubs (as of now) which are Quest, Vortex, Arena and Imperial Capital Randall.
Quest is basically where you proceed along the story that is presented towards you at the start of the game. Vortex is where you can complete miscellaneous dungeons that reward you with useful items, units for evolving other units, and special events (also weekly rotation of events). Arena is where you can fight other player's units in a A.I. controlled fight, which practically is based on the power of your units and flat out luck. Lastly, the Imperial Capital Randall serves as a separate hub for other unique features. A couple other good things about this game is that the art style is very nice and distinct, backgrounds have effects and look nice, and the game's soundtrack is fantastic. All of this sounds nice, right? Unfortunately that is until you go deeper into the game; where the game get's shady.
The first thing you'll notice when you're past the first world in Quest mode, is that this game can get unreasonably difficult for no reason whatsoever. Difficulty spikes can just happen out of nowhere, and its screws you for the rest of the mission. The way these developer's handle a boss stage can be utterly frustrating and just down right laughable. Some Boss stages they will make it either extremely easy or near impossible to do. In the developer's minds, I guess they think difficulty and challenge is throwing in the worst combination of enemy units that can destroy you in a matter of turns. When these kinds of encounters happen, it's just infuriating.
This game is definitely a "pay-to-win" sort of mobile game, though it is possible to get by without wasting money, it's more directed towards the "pay-to-win" audience. The game crashes for no reasons sometimes, just out of nowhere at the most obscene times. A majority of the time the Developer's will give out compensations for such events, which is nice to see that they care about their players. This game does have holiday rewards for the Fourth of July, Christmas, etc... that usually last for a week, in that time frame they give out free items to the players.
Overall, this game is not the greatest thing to hit the app market, but is certainly worth picking up if you can get past all of the negatives. The game is in itself an enjoyable experience, and I do recommend it to those who like those "Turn-Base RPG's" or just RPG games in general.
A principio era bueno. Luego se puso mas pay to win. Ahora, es ya casi un pay to win... o sea, si no tienes X unidad no podras pasar algunas misiones. Asi porque si. Asi no funcionan los rpg. Se que es de estrategia, pero el RNG es ridiculo
Brave Burst is a turn based RPG for the mobile platform. It features a stylized combat system, with inspiration from popular games, such as Pokemon. Players take on a role of a summoner who has the unique ability to summon spirits to fight for them in combat.
You can acquire new souls in three different ways. The first one is through combat, you'll randomly capture enemies as you defeat them. The second is using the honor gate to summon them with honor points you'll earn. The final way is the gem gate, that requires premium currency in order to use, but will always summon a rare or better character.
The system is fairly basic and simplistic, only requiring a few taps of your fingers to play the gasket properly.
The game features what appears to be the bare bones of a basic story. There are on occasion large waits in between story telling.
So why the low score? When you first start playing the game is easy, fun and rewarding, but soon after progressing deeper into the game the difficulty is put into high gear, forcing players to rely on premium currency to beef up parties or continue to struggle.
Bosses in piticular are really unbalanced later on, being extreamly aggressive and taking as many as 6 attack turns vs your one. What makes this even worse is when they decide to pop off two, three or even four brave bursts in a row, effectively wiping your entire party before you have a chance to respond.
It's my beliefs they do this on purpose to force players to use premium currency in order to continue or face loosing all the progress you'd have made in that mission.
Speaking of premium currency, be careful. I bought 5 gems and used one to restore my energy to keep questing. During the first round of the quest the game crashed. When I reloaded the game I lost that gem, I lost the energy used to access that quest and I failed the quest. When I contacted the support help e-mail their response was pretty much, "too bad, so sad".
Brave Burst starts out as a nice free to play game I was at first willing to spend money on, but their later difficulty increases, unbalanced bosses and unstable software and service leaves me feeling alienated and ripped off.
The reason I've given the game a 0 rating is because of how many times I've lost my account every time i reached level 115. I poured around 75$ worth of gems to each account as well. I contacted for help with my account ID and they were never able to resolve any of my problems with my accounts being wipped.
