This isn't a game that'll rock your world, nor is it one that will change the way you look at the survival/horror genre. But if you don't mind spending a buck for an hour's worth of fun (plus replay value), Dawn of the Dead is worth your time.
Ultimately, for such a short game, the replay value relies on how much fun you had playing the first time through, but given some twitchy controls and slowly paced gameplay, we didn't see much reason to go back. Aside from the movie tie-in, there isn't much to make the game stand out.
If you need to bust up some skulls after a particularly hard day at work, Dawn of the Dead might serve you well. But the controls might make you say, "Grrrr, aaargh!"
Poor controls and bland missions render what should have been a surefire hit into a flawed shooter.
Dawn of the Dead is torpedoed by awful controls that make it impossible to find anything noteworthy in all other aspects of this zombie killer. Save your money and rent the movie – which you can actually do from the title screen of Dawn of the Dead.
