It has a few stand-out moments, but too often Dream Chaser puts a wall between you and your enjoyment.

It's really a shame because outside of this frustrating facet of the game's story mode (as well as the pop-up) Dream Chaser isn't that bad of an endless runner. As it stands, genre fans will probably still find it worth checking out, if anything for its style and story mode. For everyone else, it's probably worth a pass.

Dream Chaser tries to create variety by creating a story mode aside the normal endless runner grind, but its design around a freemium model while being a paid app leaves a bitter taste. The game isn't good enough to break away from the stigma this creates.

Don't get us wrong. Dream Chaser isn't bad per se. It's just woefully average. Considering the huge amount of competition when it comes to endless runners and Chillingo's pedigree, we expected better.
