If you have a couple of bucks to spare, Dungelot is the way to go. For those who have exhausted that game, or those who aren't keen to spend money, I can now at least say that Dungelot 2 is almost as good.
Dungelot 2 polished and expanded the original's accessible charm to make a dungeon crawler that is both more approachable and far deeper than ever before.
Going free-to-play means Dungelot 2 is compelled to repeatedly dangle in-app purchases in front of the player, but the impeccable presentation and addictive gameplay ensure that it's still better than the original.
That's the core nature of the game – extreme accessibility – and it is definitely a cute little time-passer. But as rogue-likes go, I found it a little too simple to hold my interest for very long.
Dungelot 2 is a high quality sequel that improves upon the well thought out original to continue the high level accessibility for a dungeon crawler with all new features, and polish.
