  • Summary: Devilishly smart. Deploy wicked tactics and dominate your enemies! Build the ultimate underground lair and summon diabolical forces to do your bidding. It’s tower defense…without the tower…and a lot more offensive!

Dungeon Keeper’s pared-down reboot is fun on its own right, even if it's not quite the same creature as the excellent classic games it’s based on.

Dungeon Keeper for iOS is a well-made mobile update of a classic.

It's not Dungeon Keeper, but Dungeon Keeper has enough going for it that it's worth a punt.

It's a huge shame, because Dungeon Keeper is such a great franchise. I vividly remember getting hooked on the original for the very first time, and hooking in non-strategy fans with its unique perspective and visual style. But you're getting none of that here, as you're instead presented with a hollow freemium shell of what once was.

It could've been a chance to give a second life to an old classic, but EA got this all wrong. The managing side is poor, and a greedy microtransaction system ultimately spoils the fun.

The tragedy of Dungeon Keeper is that every so often, it shows glimpses of what makes it great. You can see the classic game is in there somewhere: its genius, and what it could have been. But then the gates slam shut, as though the Dungeon Keeper himself is kept in a larger meta-dungeon, whose bean-counting overlord tells you to come back later, or maybe even tomorrow. Or pay up.

Dungeon Keeper is not a video game, not any more. Instead it’s just a virtual beggar, constantly demanding your spare change and offering nothing in return.

This is not an iOS game. This a money trap. You simply can't play without paying all the time.
EA completely ruined a licence. Again.
company really deserves its 3rd "Worst company" award. Expand

This game is a total scam. You get maybe a quarter of an hour of gameplay (mostly in a tutorial) before the freemium kicks in. And then you're in a situation where mining a single block of your dungeon takes twenty-four hours. Oh, unless you're prepared to pay money. Money will speed things up, but only for a little while. You have to pay, and pay, and pay, to have any kind of enjoyable gameplay. Nice job on ruining a classic game, EA. Expand

It might be a good game if you didn't have to wait so long, but 24 hours for one block! I realize a lot of apps require you to wait to perform actions, but this is one of the worst I've seen! If you want dungeon keeper, do not download this app, and instead get Mythic's game. Expand

This is not a game. This is disgrace. Gamers should not tolerate this practices. And EA... It had a chance to become good company with new CEO, but nope. Still scummiest of them all Expand

This game is the type of game that makes other free to play games look horrible. I'm not a fan of free to play but games like planetside 2 do it pretty much right. This game is the worst for play to win and they just laugh at for giving them money too.

I wholeheartedly encourage people to make a crack for this game and link it everywhere. The only reason it should be playable is with a cheats.

This abomination is no port or adaption of the beloved PC Game. Under the hood its a clone of Clash of Clans featuring some of the worst F2P greediness ever encountered. Expand
