Sure, you can ‘capture’ iconic locations eventually but it’s all a cynical way of making you feel like you’re truly part of Game of Thrones. Instead, this is a retread of an overly familiar concept. You’ll regularly be asked to spend money on starter packs or other forms of currency, all in a bid to make you more invested in the experience. Anyone who’s been playing mobile games for a while will have already done this elsewhere. Game of Thrones: Conquest doesn’t deserve to be rewarded with your time, money, or loyalty. It’s a poor use of a franchise that’s rich with imagination.
Could have done so much more with this IP.
The game is a decent build-a-village type of game, and quick paced too. You start with a "battle" that you don't command any units, not even put them in battle, and then you get your own castle and that's it of the IP. Serious!!! Almost nothing that comes after uses the IP of GoT instead of simple aesthetics or the map.
The lack of the story or anything after the introduction has you taking advices from Tyrion throughout the building of your village which makes the experience so boring. Every building has a predefined spot which is good so you don't put them in stupid positions, but that is negated because attacks on other players are not actually shown, so not being to customize the layout is a big negative. All of those buildings spots that are predetermined are already shown, so you click on a lot of things that you can do nothing with.
And that's it... low interaction alliances, boring attacks on PvE, almost no PvP, no heroes, no campaign, nothing...
At least if you want it, you can keep playing it for quite a while since they give you SO many starter resources.
advertised as a FTP game but it definitely isn't if you have any chance of surviving
very glitchy app with poor performance and a multitude of issues
sometimes these issues cause you to lose items / troops you have spent real money on and the support team do not compensate you for it
lots of pressure to spend large amounts of money
This is a game for the affluent, there is no way of being competitive without spending $1000's each month, better games and things to spend money on especially when WB cant even manage to get the events right, a recent kingdom v kingdom event resulted in mass faults and chaos,
