The simple fact that I found myself having to retrain my mind on how to solve the challenges in Lums is a testament to the success it has in taking a well-known genre and giving it its own unique stamp.

Lums is a physics puzzler that gives the player an astounding amount of agency, which makes it so much more fun than other, luck-based physics puzzlers.

Overall, Lums is a fantastic addition to the crowded physics puzzle genre, and packs in more than enough originality to put a smile on the face of even the most jaded physics action fan.

Lums demonstrates that there's still some originality left in the dark corners of the physics-based puzzle genre.

Lums is a fine physics-based puzzle that brings some light in a crowded genre. It's derivative for sure, but nevertheless it's funny to approach the "physics based puzzle game" in a new light. It's short, though: the 48 levels can last for just three hours, if you don't want to catch all the stars.
  6. The game is dirt cheap, easy on the eyes, and fun to pull out for 10 or 15 minutes at a time. At that pace, it’ll take weeks to play through the 50 or so puzzles initially available.

Lums does not have its own identity and, copying Angry Birds, ends up offer anything to the player.
