Mushroom Wars is one of the better RTS games available for iPad, and anyone up for a fast-paced tactical experience should definitely give it a shot.

As ports go, though, this is a very good one, and well worth the wait for iPad owners. It's hard not to get sucked into Mushroom Wars once you start playing, and you'll certainly never look at that portabella on your plate ever again without the urge to send it charging into battle.

Mostly, Mushroom Wars is all about outnumbering the competition and that's something that is down to timing rather than tactical thinking. It's a fun ride for a time, but with little else in terms of content such as the PSN original's multiplayer mode, it's lacking.

A fun and simple RTS game, Mushroom Wars lacks the spark needed to really recommend it.

This game is really fun. The thing is that their marketing is poor. You download the game initially for free but only get 6 easy levels. They then prompt you to pay for more maps at a price of $3.99. Ok so you think you will just pay the $3.99 and play hassle free. Wrong the multiplayer is limited to playing on tokens which regenerate every 40 mins or so. Worse yet you are limited to 5 tokens. The way you get more tokens is to pay for them or wait for 4 hours. This is also considering if you could even connect with the multiplayer. Many times it will not connect at all. I would happily pay up to $6 if they just let me buy and own the game out right and fix the connection issues. 1/10 for now. PS. I emailed the game's support in order to have questions answered but got no response, 0/10 customer service. Full Review »

On PS3 this game was a real gem. On IOS however the game is horrible. To unlock maps you have to pay, thats fine. But once you have payed nothing will happen. You have to mail the company to actually make the purchase come through. After waitiing days for the unlock to activate you can countinue the single player campaign that you will finish in couple of hours. Once thats done only multiplayer remains, too bad only the multiplayer is so bugged you wont be able to play more than couple of minutes for every hour you try. The worst part is they will blame this on your connection no matter how stable/fast connection you have. Avoid this game, it makes simcity2013 launch look like a success. Full Review »
