An ingenious, superbly implemented logic puzzler that's sadistic and cerebrally satisfying in equal measure.

Despite such flaws, Puzzle Restorer is still well worth its $0.99 price tag. With 64 levels, plus a series of secret stages, it’s going to take a while to finish the game but it’ll be good fun getting there.

Like any of its logic game brethren, Puzzle Restorer thrives on the strength of those rules. Because they make a solid foundation, the game is free to open up into greater and greater challenges without ever becoming bogged down in complexity. This could be the start of a puzzle game legacy if Gavina Games has the tenacity to keep it going. As a new twist on a popular type of puzzle game, there's plenty of room to grow.

Although the path-drawing / screen-painting puzzler is far from new on the App Store, Puzzler Restorer by Gavina Games makes for a beautiful and brutally brain-bending twist on the concept; expect hours to melt away.

It's a fresh and competent puzzle game, but its steep difficulty curve requires an uncommon amount of patience: if you think you have what it takes, it's definitely a good pick.

Puzzle Restorer delivers artful expressions of touch based puzzling that is worth the price of admission.

All that's required though is a little willingness to teach yourself, along with the patience to dig deeper into the game's surprising charms. Puzzle Restorer won't be to everyone's tastes, but if you're ready for a stiff challenge this is one puzzle game you won't want to miss out on.
