A lot of thought has gone into the whole game, from the retina display graphics, to the layout of the title screen; which allows you to scroll around to enjoy the hi-res graphics even more. Everything works, and works well.
Great graphics and a catchy (if familiar) soundtrack contribute to the overall excellent game atmosphere.
If you're looking for a beautifully presented air-hockey game with bags of longevity, then the competition's going to have to go a long way to topple Shufflepuck Cantina from its throne.
If the premise appeals to you, download it and give it half an hour. At that point, if you're jazzed and really rockin' it, you've just made a friend. On the other hand, if you're feeling irritable or frustrated at that point, you should just delete the game and move on.
Even without the online option though, Shufflepuck Cantina is a challenging and wacky trek through the stars.
Shufflepuck Cantina has potential, but the game as it is now is more irritation than its worth, even as a free game.
