It’s a shame, really, because with a proper interface a board game should work as well if not better on a mobile device than on a PC. And if they’d taken more care over the port, then Space Hulk would have been one the finest board game adaptations to grace the iPad: tense, demanding, and frequently thrilling.

Many problems from the PC version persist, but Space Hulk is still an entertaining strategy game.
  3. Dec 9, 2013
Like a sloth ninja assassin, Space Hulk is slow, methodical, and brutal, but offers plenty of rewards for those with patience.
  4. Dec 12, 2013
Space Hulk is pretty faithful reproduction of the original board game, but it's also too slow, often cumbersome and poorly balanced.

It's Space Hulk, that's good. It's slow-playing, that's bad. It's still easier to set up than the miniature game, if you even have a copy.

Space Hulk is a faithful recreation of the ’89 board games. But the slow mechanics and lack of of variety can bore you really quick. Plus, the price is too high.
  7. Dec 19, 2013
Board game fans might be able to overlook these sins to find the deep game within, but developers Full Control has done too little to evangelise the cult of Space Hulk.
  8. Dec 13, 2013
If you’re a fan of the Warhammer 40k series, Space Hulk has a lot to offer. For newbies, the price of admission and the slow pace may not hold your attention for very long.
  9. Dec 6, 2013
It has its moments, but Space Hulk stumbles too often to really recommend.

Ok it's about 50/50 both good and bad. The good is, it's Space Hulk. Simple. No frills, faithful rules. The Bad is bad programming, clunkyOk it's about 50/50 both good and bad. Ok I'm commenting here mainly to say this. Space Hulk could be an extremely thematic/cinematic heart pounding and visual masterpiece still using the core rules and pretty simple programming. If more was put into the Fidelity this game could be a smash hit! I mean cinematic varied deaths. Close up camera transitions. SMoooooth Annimation, Immersive surround sound, and just things to make it like you're in a movie, but still following the core rules and turn based nature. Think something like the new Alien game coming out. All that atmosphere put into a strategy game would just be massive. Somehow I believe it's Games Workshop that limit this game mostly. They just won't allow any unique interpretations of Space Hulk board game. They restrict too much.
