Shamelessly derivative and lacking likeable characters and an interesting storyline, The Jim & Frank Mysteries: Blood River Files is a well-intended but ultimately disappointing puzzle adventure.
  2. Feb 6, 2011
The Jim & Frank Mysteries: The Blood River Files may very well be THE puzzle adventure game that people have been looking for on the iPhone.
  3. Feb 6, 2011
The Jim and Frank Mysteries are a good Professor Layton alternative, thanks in no small part to some good puzzles and genuinely well-written exchanges between the characters.
  4. Feb 6, 2011
Since you'll probably skip through the mystery part of this game, it ends up being a collection of puzzles of varying quality.
  5. Feb 6, 2011
Fans of classic puzzle-adventure and recent titles like Professor Layton will love The Jim and Frank Mysteries and this is easily recommended for gamers of all walks after a lighthearted challenge.
  6. Feb 6, 2011
In the end, I don't know who this game is for. The coming-of-age plot and cheap character designs might appeal to a kid, but a fair number of the puzzles would be too challenging for someone under ten.
