I cannot stress just how impressed I am with this game. It seems to have come out of nowhere, but I personally feel it's destined to share a spot with the rest of the App Store's top platformers.

It's well worth the price tag and you'll find yourself so empathetic for the rocket's goals that you'll push yourself to finish it no matter how hard it gets.

Despite initial appearances to the contrary, you spend most of your time swiping The Last Rocket through various hazard-strewn rooms, negotiating air currents and conveyor belts and dodging flame jets and inconsiderate spikes.

If you're the type of gamer that builds pixel art out of colored post-it notes and listens to Nullsleep, then The Last Rocket is a no-brainer.

Boasting plenty of old skool swagger, The Last Rocket is a challenging but rewarding puzzler slightly spoiled by one or two imperfections.
