  • Summary: Thomas won't be entirely alone, he'll be joined throughout by the awesome Mr Danny Wallace (XFM, Yes Man and Assassin's Creed) who will be narrating his adventures.

It’s worth every penny you put in, and you’ll get a good three or four hours of enjoyment, along with a heartwarming tale of friendship.

Mike Bithell's creative platformer is a fantastic experience because of its writing.

An eminently entertaining slab of balanced indie-platforming fun, Thomas Was Alone feels like it should have been on mobile from day one.

When I had finished with Thomas was Alone, I wanted more. I wanted the story to go on forever. I’m sure, even as a baby, I have never cared as much for a set of blocks as I did here. It’s a case study on how grand ideas and important themes can be carried by even the simplest of designs when its heart is in the right place.

Not much has changed, but that’s a good thing. To tamper with the formula would be doing a disservice to the great work that first came to people’s attention, two years ago. If this gets the lonely quadrilateral in the hands of more folk, then that’s a good thing.

I'm not entirely sure why Thomas Was Alone has such a low user rating. Considering it's characters are essentially geometric shapes, the 'shapes' ooze character & charm. Much like it's characters the gameplay is simple yet effective but it's the writing that really sets it apart. Expand

Plays as if it were made for iOS. More fluid than both the PS3 and PC versions. Funny, enjoyable, and emotionally compelling, in an odd sort of way. Excellent port of an excellent game. Expand

This is an amazing story driven platformer with well rounded (albeit 2-D) characters. If you're looking for an action packed game look elsewhere, but this game has heart. You somehow fall in love with these "characters" and when you finish you will want to play it again if only to see the characters again. If you are a fan of well done indie games with an interesting and captivating story, this is one for you. Expand
