    This game just has an unexplicable charm to it that makes me come back to it again and again.

    Trenches is an excellent RTS (real-time strategy) game with no direct goals to urge you onward. If that sounds fine to you, go ahead-give it a try.

    Instead of using the brutal realities of war for emotive gain it's a backdrop for cartoonish brutality, and I like that. However, creative strategy isn't rewarded and Trenches quickly becomes a war of attrition.
