Separate Ways is so good that it makes other Resident Evil games look worse by comparison. It’s hard to believe that this campaign was only $10 when Resident Evil 3 Remake, a game of similar length yet far less satisfying, was full price just three years ago. It’s even more surprising that just last year we were playing Shadows of Rose, a lightweight, uninspiring retread of Resident Evil Village that similarly tried to make old locales feel new again, but failed to match the quality of the base game. Separate Ways is more like a Resident Evil 2-style parallel campaign than a bonus DLC, and it’s been given the level of polish and care it deserves. Separate Ways has always been essential to the RE4 experience, but the remake elevates it to the quality of a standalone Resident Evil game. And at just $10, it might be the best value in gaming this year.
Separate Ways is easily one of the biggest budget add-on expansion packs to release this year, adding more high-quality content to the already stacked 60+ hour package of Resident Evil 4 (2023). For AUD $15, it’s honestly a no-brainer if you enjoyed the base game and want more survival-horror goodness to enjoy (and a sneak peak at where this reboot Resident Evil universe is heading).

If Resident Evil 4 is a crown, Separate Ways is the jewel that complements it, and thus we can close this arc that will probably lead us to a new version of the fifth main game of this franchise.
Fleshing out the story of Resident Evil 4 while adding new mechanics and challenges, Separate Ways is everything you could ask for in an expansion. But what’s really impressive here is just how much there is to it. This is an essential purchase for any Resident Evil fan, offering yet more intense encounters and atmospheric bouts of exploration. Capcom could have just called this in, but instead it’s delivered an offering that’s better than some full games. Indeed, we’re left wondering if we prefer this to the actual main campaign of Resident Evil 4. That’s how good it is.
Separate Ways is a worthy counterpart to Resident Evil 4's fantastic story, providing an excellent remix of both new and familiar locations, and its breakneck pace of pitting you against excellent adversaries never leaves room for a dull moment.
Larger and more ambitious than the content from which it originated, Strade Diverse is the perfect excuse to return to the world of the Resident Evil 4 remake. Whether it is to discover the new plot implications, or the way in which Capcom has given more value to the grappling hook and reinterpreted some prominent creatures, any fan of the series should experience this thrill ride, also given an absolutely accessible ticket price. Grab your grappling hook and dust off your crossbow: Ada Wong is waiting for you!
Resident Evil 4 Remake: Separate Ways is just as fun to play as Resident Evil 4 Remake was, although it's much shorter. There are some great set-pieces and moments of camp that you won't find in any other series, and it is nice that Capcom is at least giving Ada and Wesker to the base game's Mercenaries mode for free. But. This whole part of the game used to be free. This was an add-on, a bonus, something Capcom initially packaged in with Resident Evil 4 on the PlayStation 2. All you had to do was beat the game once - there was no extra money involved.

Pasamos de un mediocre Separe Ways (Resident Evil 4 Original) a una obra maestra como lo es Separe Ways (Resident Evil 4 Remake), a diferencia del original qué era una campaña remix de la historia principal con Leon, aquí si se complementa de manera orgánico, pasamos por zonas ya existentes de la campaña principal + zonas completamente nuevas, más historia de Luis, ahora se profundiza más U-3 (Pesanta) qué es uno de los Verdugos de Salazar, un nuevo enemigo, soluciona la poca participación de la espía dando mas diálogos, escenas etc, supera por mucho a Separe Ways Original y no hay ningún tipo de discusión, hasta es mejor qué RE 3 Remake qué es un juego "completo", EL MEJOR DLC DE LA SAGA, 10/10.

i'm a hardcore fan of Resident evils and back in the days Capcom was best .complete story unlock unlimited ammo but now you have to do the hardest difficulty with a S+ rank to. any real gamers know games are for fun not to "tryhard" at most you should have EVERYTHING unlocked by completing normal with a S+ for real gamers who play for fun again not "tryharding" as the saying goes. "if it isn't broken don't try to fix it" games from Capcom are great outstanding 10/10 like 95% but lately i have huge issues to unlock everything complete the game on hardest difficulty with a S+ nah. it's because of this issue i feel i'm missing out on like half the games content and i'm slowly hating the games and turning away please sort it Capcom. put different unlocks behind rank NOT the difficulty

Final Thoughts: Let's face the elephant in the room first off: Separate Ways does a much better job of allowing actress Lily Gao to showcase a more complex Ada Wong. The delivery doesn't always hit and I still think better direction was needed, but a serviceable performance in this expanded look at Ada's journey bolsters the character's conflicted adventure.
On the story side, it's action-horror meets goofy espionage. Wicked fun and full of fan service, Separate Ways smoothly takes what it cut from RE4: Remake and puts it to better use with the more apt Ada. As for the future, it's undoubtedly assured at this point that Code: Veronica or RE5 is next in line to be introduced to the absolutely gorgeous RE Engine.
Gameplay also features some nifty little additions, with the grapple hook melee and shield pull being fantastic mechanics that set Ada's campaign apart. What she lacks in brute strength she more than makes up with intelligence and acrobatics. All-in-all, Separate Ways is a decent DLC that tastefully expands on the core game's slickness and more than justifies the reasonable price of admission.
