Oct 9, 201280If you were hoping for a port of the 1982 classic arcade game, you should just walk away right now. If you are willing to accept change, or have just never heard of Zaxxon before, this is a worthy game. It looks good and is challenging and fun.
-
Oct 9, 201280The 3D endless runner genre could use more games like Zaxxon Escape, ones that try to do something new with their concepts. It doesn't always succeed, but it is still a fun take on the genre.

Oct 19, 201275Endless running in space that fits better on a small screen than on a tablet.
-
Oct 24, 201260Zaxxon Escape may be a logical continuation of the classic Arcade title, but aside from its shiny spaceship based theme it brings little to the table you can't already get in free Temple Run style games.
-
Oct 16, 201260A sadistic, unforgiving level of difficulty. This must have been made in the 80's.
-
Oct 9, 201260While utterly unlike the original game in any discernible way, Zaxxon Escape makes for a fun ride in its own right as the speed increases every second you survive.
-
Oct 5, 201260Unless you fancy yourself a diehard fan of its predecessor, Zaxxon Escape is not a particularly offensive game.
-
Oct 9, 201250It's not that it's a thoroughly bad game. In its own right it could have been a decent endless runner, as the visuals are sharp and the concept is sound. Yet it unequivocally fails to earn a place in the Zaxxon canon, and with only one game mode and a greedy in-app store, it struggles to demonstrate its value as a standalone title.
-
Oct 9, 201250Zaxxon Escape takes a classic shoot-'em-up property and completely changes it to a mediocre flavour-of-the-month endless-runner.
