While the price might be asking a lot for a game that can now be purchased for significantly less on consoles - or even downloaded on Xbox as part of Game Pass! - whoever was in charge of the Kingdom Hearts III PC port has delivered not just a fantastic PC version of the game, but one that is sure to become the benchmark for Square Enix PC ports going forward - for good or ill.
Except for the open-ended ending, Kingdom Hearts III + Re:Mind succeeds in being a very good game and a proper conclusion to the long-running series. Longtime fans will see all of the lore finally pay off and many loose ends get tied up, since they are the only ones who can fully understand what's going on. The combat has been tightened up to the point that it feels almost perfect for action fans while not alienating longtime players. The Re:Mind content lets things down a tad, but it is otherwise a must-play title for franchise fans.
Un juego muy bueno, que han hecho muy buen trabajo para haber **** 10 años. Vale mucho la pena si quieres una muy buena experiencia, seas fan de la saga o no.
This game is really fun! The gameplay is amazing and I don't really mind the story since I played through enough KH games to understand what's going on. Some people say that the Disney worlds were forced into the narrative. It isn't really obvious, but once you realize it, visiting those worlds is actually an integral part of Sora's journey. It HAS ISSUES, but to me, they weren't deal breakers. One biggest wrinkle on the combat for me were the attractions... they really destroy the rhythm of combat but I used the pro codes to get rid of them soooo all's good. I was skeptical about them removing the drive forms but bruuhh, the new form changing mechanic adds so much to our (players) playstyle. There were moments where the voice acting **** but it didn't bother me too much. PLUS, the game jokes about itself sometimes through dialogue and it's so hilarious! Give this game a try, if you still haven't. It's definitely worth a shot but I recommend you to play the preceding titles first, at least the two main installments to get a better grasp of the story and get familiar with the combat system, characters, what kingdom hearts is about, etc.
Tldr; it's not a perfect game but it's definitely somewhere up there. Play it! Great port btw, as far as my personal experience is concerned.
For newcomers to the series, it’s a fantastic option because, obviously, you’re not gated by a hundred different consoles just to experience the story for yourself. It’s incredibly easy just to boot up one of the collections and get started carving your way through armies of heartless. For veterans of the series, it’s a great way to relive your childhood for the exact same reasons.
All in all, the Kingdom Hearts franchise coming to PC is something that fans have been looking forward to for a long time. Kingdom Hearts 3 is a great port that will delight both new and dedicated fans of the series. Whether it’s a worthy conclusion to the “Dark Seeker” arc will be in the eyes of the beholder, but playthrough-wise, Kingdom Hearts 3 is a great addition to any PC collection.
KH3 my GOTY 2019. It the first game in the series that was able to part of the community getting hype about the game. It was my favorite time that I miss it everyday. Waiting for new trailers to come out for the game and get more hype for it. It helps that the community and SE themselves made it more worth. Plus the game itself. I love it so much that it my favorite out of the mainline games. Despite every KH title being mainline games because all the games are canon to story.
While the story is generally lacking, it makes up for it by having some of the best boss fights a JRPG can have. This game is also much more focused on melee combat compared to the more magic centered combat the previous games had.
This game is an oddity. It is possible with Re Mind to alter the combat system, turn up the difficulty and to find a satisfying action game experience. However, the base game combat has way too many cinematic auto attacks that take control away from the player at every other moment, making the game jump from cinematic to cinematic until the fighting is done. The game looks great and feels great and those two facts may mask how utterly simplistic and repetitive the combat is for some. I really enjoyed my time with this game but it required an entire expansion just to make my own fun which doesn't sit right with me. Also in case you're wondering KH storytelling is still hilariously terrible
