A few more tweaks here and there, and a little more in the way of multiplayer and this could have been elevated from pretty darn good, to bleeding damn excellent.
Short Adventure and limited two-player mode aside, Lego Racers 2 is an excellent game.

Lego Racers 2 was basically my childhood and somehow is still great even nowadays when I go back and play it. There's something so magical in building your own Lego car and travelling through different areas and even dimensions. Nothing beats good old Lego Racers!

Despite the general excitement of travelling to other worlds and competing in lego races, the races lack detail, there is not enough variation and there is too much 'waiting around' for races to begin. It simply does not compete with other racing games. However, it is a game aimed at the younger generation and I can picture younger gamers really enjoying the excitement of seeing lego brought into life in colour and pace.

The adventure mode is quite intriguing, the ability to build cars from scratch and watch them disassemble is entertaining, and the split-screen competition is a blast. However, there is not enough substance in the racing options, track challenges, and audiovisual polish to set this offering apart from the pack.
Though winning isn't an easy feat, there is enjoyment in the pursuit. Whether racing against the computer or a friend, kids who enjoy the versatility of LEGOS will enjoy this game and the competition.
Has a great character and car building system and the graphics are nice in places. Unfortunately the frame-rate is below average, the sound effects and music are often horrible and the racing, the biggest part of the game, has not been executed well.
Really enjoyed it when I was a kid. Cute, funny, entertaining and exciting. A must play for every LEGO-fan.

LEGO Racers 2 — компьютерная игра в жанре гонок. Кампания (кольцевая гонка) состоит из 5 карт по 4 заезда + 1 босс Локи. Победить на телепортах, как в прошлой части, не получается, ибо их тут нет. Самый сложный босс — это в Диноленде, ибо у него двигатель, я потратил на него час, уже хотел сдаться, но по воле судьбы прошел. Второй по сложности был, как ни странно, гонщик Ракета, но там уже я быстро осознал, что не надо подскоки делать. Что бесило, так это лаги в самых сложных местах, ибо из-за них я и проигрывал — одна ошибка, и ты ошибся. Эту игру, по моему мнению, сильно раздули, заставляют находить и собирать золотые кубики, чтоб увидеть фейерверк. Компактность первой части мне зашла больше, и конкурсы там были интереснее, а тут на дороге подбираешь штуку, как правило, она бесполезная, + рандом, вообще не то.
