At the end of the day, though, Outland Games is the same old runner we've played over the last few years. On the positive side, it is both polished and fun, making it a worthwhile download regardless of whether or not you played Monday Night Combat. That said, you don't need to know anything about that Xbox Live Arcade shooter to enjoy what this quality game has to offer.
With striking animations, precise controls, and a touch of humor, Outland Games is well worth checking out, and will reward the time you put into it. More variety in settings and announcer dialog would go a long way toward fleshing out the experience, but there is still plenty of fun to be had in the outlands, barren as they may be.
A bright and entertaining endless-runner that gets the formula down perfectly, Outland Games is well worth some of your time.

Featuring clean, sharp graphics, randomized obstacles, and an engaging commentary style, Outland Games’ pleasing presentation outpaces its average gameplay.
Runner aficionados will find little to keep them hooked in a playing field full of meatier options.
