Advent Rising Image
  • Summary: In Advent Rising, a common legend pervades the galaxy - that of a powerful, ancient race that will one day unite the universe. Millions of cultures from vastly distant worlds revere and hallow these mythological beings known as humans. One race, the Seekers, know humans actually exist and are threatened by their potential power. Under the guise of benevolent explorers, the Seekers travel throughout the galaxy in a desperate attempt to eradicate any human society they unearth. Players assume the role of Gideon Wyeth, a remnant of the last human outpost, on the brink of discovering the incredible powers that lay dormant within him. It is these powers the Seekers are so desperate to suppress. [Majesco] Expand

It is both fun and engaging with a magnificent story, great dialog and a score that is not to be missed. It's an experience that is well worth the money.
  2. Average graphics for most of the game, indistinct sounds during combat, and a difficult targeting system are its only flaws.
  3. It's short but it's good. There are some flaws that you need to overlook but there's nothing here that will ruin the entire experience. The lack of a co-op or multi-player modes reduces the replay value but you can go back and experiment with different combinations of powers.

  1. Ahahaha.Good.This game stoles a lot. From games and movies. But stoles with style.Good enough.Nice graphics pretty weapons(some stolen from Halo) ai is kinda boring has some vehicles(buggy stolen from halo without succes it sucks) and pretty nice level design. The dual-wielding of rocket launchers and heavy weapons is cool. The friendly alien race is again stolen from Halo(elites) here with some nice additions.Their battleships are again stolen from Halo. But anyway good game with nice gameplay and controls.9 Expand

It is 100% linear game that you can complete in about 10 hours - the psychic powers you learn are almost identical to the force powers in the 3rd person action adventure starwars games more than foru years ago - if you think a short lifespan game using 5 years old gameplay, then then by all means buy this game. the only good thing you can say about this game is that the story is catchy, but playing a game just to unlock new prerendered cut scenes isnt enough to pull this game above 50% Too much linear hack and slash and too little rpg/freedom. The only good thin about the game is the storyline. The gameplay is choppy and riddled with bugs. The developers apparently could not make the decision if it should be an action/adventure game or a FPS. In my opinion most of the bugs that I dealt with should have been found during testing; although Majesco has no way to contact them about said bugs. I spent $10 on the game and I feel like I have wasted my money. Expand
