This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game is not perfect, and it probably isn't great, either, but considering that it is the only construction and resource management game that I've ever been hooked on, I can't really say anything bad about it. I'm not going to deny that I really enjoyed it, and spent far more hours than is probably healthy playing it. The premise is simple: whoever it is that creates species and inhabits worlds goofed and dropped three different races on the same planet. Now you have to choose which one you will be, start your community in the hunter/gatherer stage, build it up to an industrial age, all the while fending off enemy attacks, until you are strong enough to wipe the other species out of existences. If you manage to do this, you win, or you can finagle peace and trade agreements to keep the game going. Ignore the negative reviews; they're not altogether wrong, but there are far more hooks in this game to get addicted than they are giving it credit for, and it has plenty of charm. Expand

I enjoyed the vivid graphics and off-beat presentation. Sometimes the game can be confusing in its micromanagement (the biggest challenge of the game is paying attention to all the details) and the tutorials could've been more interactive. Nonetheless, it's worth finding (at the right price).

    Best game ever!!
Note: there is actually 3 players!!!!
Tips for beginners: 1 Never change all your transporters into other men. (this causes pure havvock, I mean you cant even transort material needed to build structures.) 2 Do the tuteral before anything else! (it teaches you how to play!!!!!) 3 When playing other nations, get a warrior as soon as possible. (such as hunters,

3 When playing other nations, get a warrior as soon as possible. (such as hunters, archers, pyros ect.)

4 Always make new cities in an area near stone, lumber, and bushes. (so your city can do well)

5 Make at least one extra city. (in case your main one falls!)

6 Try to make peace with one race and take the ther one down. (trust me it makes it easier)

  1. It's more amusing than "1602 A.D." because of the differences in each race but gameplay is strikingly similar.

Ham-handed implementation and lackluster production values obscure what few clever devices are buried within.
  3. The game isn't all bad, but its easy campaigns and straightforward, simplistic gameplay mean that it won't last you for very long.
