nice online and very realistic gameplay. cool graphics for such an old game, despite being a free 2 play. The new AA3 looks really slick, so check that out as well. Overall, great game, and plenty of updates and lasting impression, even though there is some US propaganda. Well worth the download. Congrats, US Army!

One of the best 1st person games EVER! With the constant udgrades and almost endless ways to play, this game is by far above most pay-2-play 1st persons and to top it all off it is FREE to play. Have to say thank you to the US army for this one!

Best FPS ever. Everything about it keeps improving patch by patch, and the hard work by the [DEV]'s really show through, in sound, lighting, graphics...the lot!

quite possibly the most addictive, most enjoyable, most involving game available on your computer....and it`s free. Once you get through the "boring" training and start to get into the game, you will not be able to put it down.

Great game! The sound and graphics are excellent and so are the new maps and weapons. And its free!!! The best multiplayer game i played since the original quake. Although its completely different, since its not an action game.

This is EASILY the best online multiplayer game to date. It's not just a shooter where every man is his own hero; real teamplay is essential and very rewarding, and i've even made friendships with other players. The replay value is infinite, and honor system very rewarding ... meaning there are very few TKers and cheaters. HOOAH!!! :)

As an Army veteran (10th MTN INF 2001-2004) I must say this is by far the most realist game I have played. Weapons are fairly true to the real things as far as rate of fire, accuracy, etc. You're never going to get the real deal unless you step up and serve your nation first hand, but this is as close as it gets without doing that. "Claim To Glory".

  1. Unfortunately, if you've never played it before, it really is a chore to get into because the training can be extremely boring and the setup convoluted. However, as the old saying goes, you can't complain too much about something that's free!

Everything in 2.0 makes America's Army more intense, more gripping, and more deservinig of its status as the top tactical sim. [Mar 2004, p.79]

If you want to make the most of the game, you’ll have to walk through the entire qualification process. Since it’s governed by actual military rules, you’re looking at a good couple of days from boot camp to field operations.
