  1. Its incredible depth certainly nets the game some major kudos, but there's a serious caveat in the near absence of any structured gameplay. [Dec 2001, p.100]
  2. If I found myself completely without a life, with hours and hours on my hands with nothing else to do, then the universe of BCM would be a great escape.
  3. It’s got its flaws and it's share of bugs, but being able to have free reign almost cancels them out.
  4. One of the most interesting gameplay experiences in recent memory. If you enjoy freeform play in a universe where you're just one of many players, it's worth a look.
  5. 70
No other game to date comes this close to replicating what it would be like to explore a truly seamless universe.
  6. A game you'll probably either love or loathe. [Apr 2002, p.104]
  7. Only the diehards will appreciate the detail and complexity, while the rest of us only see the flaws.

Unplayable. This game is an empty shell with incredibly complex controls, whose cryptical functions are described nowhere. Only several dozens of trials and errors may possibly reveal part of their use. A game with no purpose. Expand
