  1. This expansion focuses on the little-known Italian and Sicilian campaigns of World War II.
  2. Continues the success and balanced gameplay that was found in the original.
  3. Everybody’s game of the year continues to rock with six new maps, new sides (Italy and France), vehicles, weapons and more.

Considering Battlefield is such a fundamentally awesome game, Road to Rome managing to significantly improve the base in the ways that it does is at the very least commendable and the very most fantastic.
  5. As any fan of this outstanding multiplayer game will explain, six new maps for Battlefield 1942 is almost like adding six new sequels to the game. [Apr 2003, p.100]
  6. Adds even more great gameplay in the form of more-balanced maps and more-balanced vehicles to an already enjoyable game.
  7. If you loved Battlefield 1942, then you'll love the new maps.

The maps are excellent, and while we would have liked a few more new vehicles, the ones that are here are a nice addition.
  9. This pack gives a great new lease to a game that has far from run out of steam.

Good expansion that gave us new transport, maps and weapons.
But paying for a DLC as much as for a stand alone game that had nothing else
made many people unhappy. Great addition anyway! Full Review »
