  1. While not as spooky as a "Resident Evil," there is still a good enough atmosphere to keep gamers at the edge of their chairs.
  2. The killer problems were the story, the tedious nature of the game, and the short length... [but w]e highly recommend Blair Witch 3: The Elly Kedward Tale to anyone looking for a good scare.
  3. Reminded me of the old "Alone in the Dark" series, but not as much fun and too linear.
  4. Prye runs and walks as if he’s just spent the last 15 hours on the back of a galloping horse then, unable to find an outhouse, crapped himself.
  5. Provides a very satisfying wrap-up to this series and, in some ways, is the best gaming experience of the group.

If you are a diehard horror fan, you can probably live with the shortcomings.
  7. If this curve continues, Volume 4 will retroactively suck the life from the franchise.

But if you're just looking for something gothic and grungy to sink your teeth into, you'd probably be better off sitting in your backyard with a flashlight and a video camera.
  9. More gory than spooky, and even that is pulled off with minimal skill. But there's still some fun to be had, at least until the next survival horror game comes out. Oh wait, there's one now....
  10. A game without much to offer that you haven't seen plenty of times before.
  11. At least this last one carries a message, albeit hidden underneath a layer of stupid and unimaginative game designing concepts, which do not have so much to do with the developers themselves as they have to do with the hot-shot companies looking to cash in on the whole Blair Witch hoopla.
  12. "The Legend of Coffin Rock" and The Elly Kedward Tale are scary, but for all the wrong reasons.
  13. A poor ending to a bad journey.
  14. Colourful and action-packed compared with its two predecessors, but the novelty's all gone.
  15. Blair Witch 3 makes no effort at an atmosphere of foreboding and danger. Instead, they made it dark. But the dark isn't scary if you know there isn't something in it to be afraid of.
  16. A below-average game with little in the way of compelling gameplay.
  17. Unfortunately, Prye's adventures aren't anywhere near as exciting as they might sound because of the game's poor control, its awkward camera angles, and its simplistic and repetitive story.
  18. Gameplay in The Elly Kedward Tale feels even more linear than either of the first two volumes (is that even remotely possible?).
  19. There are several logic flaws that severely diminish the game's storyline.
  20. Agonizingly mediocre - and proof that the Blair Witch has had her day in the moonlight. [Apr 2001, p.90]
  21. A dreary, badly made game which offers no real closure to the series and bears no relevance to either Blair Witch film. A waste of your pennies, despite the reasonable price tag.
