More brash and aggressive than his Delta Force squadmate Nomad, players experience Psycho's parallel story during the events of the original game, finding that life on the other side of the island is even more intense and explosive than they ever could have imagined. Luckily, Psycho's Nanosuit is just as capable and he's equipped with an even bigger arsenal of fully customizable weapons and new vehicles, giving players access to the tools they need to dominate any situation. Aside from this new single player campaign, Crysis Warhead also features new multiplayer content. [Electronic Arts] Expand

  1. CryTek demonstrates again its hegemony in first person shooters and it does it with a new gem. A brief campaign but charged with a shining pace is its main attractive, and in this occasion the multiplayer section has become one of its main highlights too. A new demonstration of the unquestionable health of the action in the 21st century. We don´t usually like to talk about the price in the final conclusions, but the possibility to buy a game like Crysis Warhead for just 30 € is a fact to consider.
  2. At 29.99 (USD), there’s no reason not pick this one up. Even if you haven’t played its predecessor, you can’t go wrong here if you are an FPS fan.

There's plenty of bang for your buck, and attempting missions over again in harder difficulty modes can really prove themselves as addicting challenges. Throw in the extraordinary Crysis Wars multiplayer, and you've got yourself an absolute steal.
  4. If you take a fabulous game with astonishing graphics, good sounds and gameplay and add a new story, the result will be more than satisfying.
  5. Still one of the prettiest games ever, Crysis: Warhead improves on its predecessor in every way. It's just a pity that there isn't more of it.

Obligatory for original Crysis fans, interesting opportunity for the rest of the universe to try one of the best game engines. Where graphics excel story harms the overall score. [Oct 2008]

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Crysis Warhead improves upon the original in every aspect. It's more intense, it has one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a long while with each song getting your adrenaline pumping and hairs raise on your arms, it's that epic. The graphics and physics have been worked on so it's smoother and even more beautiful than the original. There are a couple of new weapons but nothing special.
The game has a much more personal feel to it because it follows the story of Psycho who's a much greater character than Nomad. It has way more story cutscenes which are greatly executed and helps you get involved emotionally too. The game is more linear, the levels are more straight forward and it keeps increasing in intensity and speed throughout the campaign. It has some really epic battles, not just alone but often with other soldiers with you, this time around a whole squad of Nanosuit operatives. You'll get into threeway battles which has you fighting both Koreans and aliens at the same time.

Solid game, but I'm giving it a more realistic rating, rather than overhyping. Firstly, I run on dx9 crysis warhead allows you to run Solid game, but I'm giving it a more realistic rating, rather than overhyping. Firstly, I run on dx9 crysis warhead allows you to run maximized with it, the game is absolutely beautiful, not just first hour noteworthy, you notice it throughout the game. As for gameplay, the weapon mechanics are improved, enemies now die in a more reasonable amount of non-headshots, 2-3 rounds to chest with an assault rifle and they're done usually. the gore, though still not great, is much better than crysis, especially the headshots. The AI are improved significantly, especially the aliens. The storyline is more interesting, and the game isn't even that short, It took me, maybe 1 and half to 2 hrs less than crysis did. The MP is also notably improved. Expand

Surprisingly, the story is better, telling the story of Psycho. The gameplay is the same as Crysis's gameplay, but now with some new, decent and helpful things. Example, unlike the first Crysis, you can automatically pick up ammo for your gun, from the enemies. And that's a decent add, because It's kind of frustrating to pick up manually the guns from the enemies. It's worth, but It stays the same, because is an expansion. 88 out of 100 Expand

Gameplay is exactly like Crysis, but this game is pretty short. About the time I got warmed up it was over. That brings it down from the 10 I Gameplay is exactly like Crysis, but this game is pretty short. About the time I got warmed up it was over. That brings it down from the 10 I gave Crysis to just a 7. The replay value is smaller than Crysis as well. I know this is just an expansion pack, but I just don't feel like I got my moneys worth.
