Surprisingly Deponia Doomsday is the most interesting and complex installment in the series. This is a well written sequel with very pretty levels, great soundtrack and some really demanding puzzles. The entire game is very funny as well and looks like a an expertly crafted piece of code. Must-have for point & click fans.
This has been my favorite point-and-click game. I've had several giggles, I don't think I had any desperate urge to lookup hints on this one, and my mind was thoroughly boggled.
A must-play for fans of the Deponia series and adventure game fans in general. The latest in the Deponia series is as witty and gorgeous as its predecessors, but just on the verge of stretching the series too thin.
Although in the new chapter Rufus is once again alive, well and goofs around as much as ever, don’t expect that he’ll get his “happily ever after” this time. On the other hand – who even needs that “ever after” when you’ve got a time machine? [Issue#208, p.57]
While it is hard to ignore the fact that it reboots the series and throws the other games to the dustbin, Deponia Doomsday on its own retains much of the charm of the series, with a stellar cast and a wackier than ever storyline.
Faint return of the popular adventure series. Deponia still charms with its original concept and humor …and even Rufus lost none of his charm. The devs from of Daedalic bring us an adventure that is good only with its story, but not with a gameplay.
"Hey, you didn't like how Goodbye Deponia ended?
Well.... **** you. We will make another game to say: we don't care"
Honestly, it is really sad. This characters and the world deserves better.
Game inconsistent, enigmas devoid of value and logic, attempts on attempts to envy the nonsense, a game continually broken by dialogues and situations that do not create a logical thread, too many characters all poorly treated and finalized.
SummaryCan you alter Deponia's fate? Do you have what it takes to change Rufus' past, present and future without accidently destroying the whole planet? Fight time itself in this action-packed, platypus-tastic and insanely hilarious story.
