  1. One of my favorite games of the year. I think once the novelty of the Diggles' antics wears off there is plenty of playtime left.
  2. One of those games that, at first, is merely fascinating to look at, then becomes addictive.
  3. 72
Original and adorable in a freakish kind of way.
  4. If you can get past the irritating introductory cutscenes and if you don't mind all-pervading cuteness, there's a depth available to plumb, and fans of micro-management will be in heaven.
  5. 68
The developers deserve kudos for trying something different in an over packed genre, and they nearly succeeded.
  6. Everything of value here means little because of the sluggish pace.
  7. Slow. Frustrating. Not the best idea for an escape. [July 2002, p.81]

Despite some bugs and minor problems, this game is on my top list for a long time. Can't count how many times I played it till late night without a sight of tiredness. Humorous, addictive, amazing. Expand

This game is an absolute diamond in the rough. If you look past its unfinished interface, you'll find yourself constantly looking to get the next technology or building to advance your settlement. If you can muster the patience to endure the long periods of time it takes to get things done and the sometimes cryptic and even unfair challenges it gives you, you'll enjoy watching you dwarves develop and thrive. I say, give it a try. Expand
