  • Summary: Previously announced as Combat Wings, Dogfight 1942 has been re-envisioned and recreated to feature more than 20 types of aircraft --from the fabled P-38 Lightning and Britain's Spitfire to the feared Messerschmitt 109 and Japanese Kate -- players are challenged with the same missions as real WWII pilots, ranging from bombing runs and dog fights to manning defensive positions such as a gunner on a bomber or anti-aircraft site. If you want a fun little air combat game with a good variety of content and easy control, but don't mind a lack of difficulty, this game's right for you. Otherwise, maybe stick to some of the more established air combat franchises.

Great Arcade game. Nothing to do with flight sims, but Superb grapcsi. Runs even outdated PCs. It runs even on my old Notebook with integrated graphics card. Expand

I have not played this game much, but I can already tell you a brief review. For me, it is a simulation game common air battle, there is nothing original, it does not stand out in its class, is not a bad game, but it was not not a good game. Expand

Releasing a flight sim (albeit an arcade flight sim) on the PC without having the option of using a flightstick is inexcusable. Your choices are keyboard, keyboard and mouse or Xbox 360 controller. And flying with the keyboard is a mess. It's another lazy port to the PC where the developers gave no consideration to how it would play on a PC. Expand
