89It's not often that a free MMO shares shares space with World of Warcraft on my desktop, but Duneon Runners changed all that with a splash of Diablo-inspired gameplay that lets you roam randomly generated dungeons as one of three classes. [Sept 2007, p.64]
-
80Despite the problems, it's such a huge amount of fun. However, at free, and near-as-dammit for the membership, we throw caution to the wind. It pokes excellent fun at a pompous genre (although WoW does an occasionally decent job of this too), and remains very playable.
-
80Between the easy to learn interface, the "Monty Python" comedic theme and the FREE part... Dungeon Runners plays better than most pay-to-play MMOs, and therefore deserves attention.
-
80The game is easy to jump into and play. The downside is that some of the controls can be a bit finger numbing. Holding down the left mouse button continuously for most of an hour or so is not much fun.
-
80With no cost for the game itself and a subscription cost about the price of a single gallon of gas, Dungeon Runners has a pretty nice cost-reward ratio going for it. There's no reason not to at least give it a crack.
-
80It offers the perfect style of gameplay makes for those who want to jump online and play an hour or so, then get back to their life.
-
Once you are willing to pony up your five bucks a month, though, Dungeon Runners becomes a surprisingly addictive time-waster. [Sept 2007, p.68]
-
76Wears its simplicity on its sleeve and is certainly a different slant on the genre. [Oct 2007, p.66]
-
76Dungeon Runners is an easy to play, quick to jump-in and a relatively fun hack n' slash game. It's also free and small to download so you might as well give it a whirl -- it can't hurt.
-
75There's absolutely no reason not to try this game. You might just find yourself hooked by a competent and charming dungeon crawler.
-
Dungeons Runners is a solid MMORPG that doesn't try to be more than it is and that anyone with a sense of humor can enjoy.
-
75An amusing little diversion when taken in small doses. Its lack of storyline and repetitious combat keep it from being playable for more than an hour or two at a time, but it's good solid fun for that hour or two.

70Don't knock a mark in the 70s. This game IS worth playing. [Aug 2007, p.90]

67Dungeon Raiders is the classic interesting title that seems almost out of nowhere. Cyanide published an adventure full of humour and ideas that seem inspired at certain stages of the first classic Zelda. A structure of this type, based solely on solving dungeon could convince fans of the genre. The marginal defects mentioned, a few bugs and a slight inaccuracy in the controls, are not so great as to prohibit the purchase of the game. Dungeon Raiders amused us and appears as a title suitable for those who love for an intelligence game in a context action that is less static than the classic puzzle games.
-
60This online RPG offers some witty humor and short-lived fun, but you'll be ready to move on after a scant few hours.
-
50It's tough to complain about a free game. But the real rub is that grinding through Dungeon Runners feels like a chore without a membership. So in the end, the real question is whether or not this game is worth five bucks a month. We don't think so.
