  • Summary: FIFA 2001's environment is alive -- this is not just a simulation: sidelines bustle with activity from spectators, coaches, and teammates as the weather and lighting change. [EA Sports]

  1. Players who preferred last year's fast, arcade feel can boost up the speed in the options settings, but fans of more thoughtful, deliberate play will likely enjoy the challenge and pace of this year's iteration.
  2. The gameplay is a nice mix of intricate strategy and fast-paced action; online play is an option; and commentators John Motson and Mark Lawrenson are back, accents and all.
  3. With the PC's internet potential yet to be realised it could well be the making of a classic.
  4. I had a lot more fun with the PSX version of Fifa 2001. Sure, it's also an arcade experience, but the passes don't move as fast, the tackles aren't as vicious and there isn't the useless shoot bar. Fifa 2001 PC is a huge disappointment and it's time the Fifa series got a major overhaul.

One of the best games of series FIFA. It's okay.
