From creating title and menu screens, scripted even zones, Overall, FPS Creator is a fantastic must-have purchase for anyone who’s interested in what goes into making a game.
The very good engine for beginners
it's hard to make your own models
but easy to learn scripts
it's not really that limited engine
that why I use for my fps games
you can make cutscenes and the good game in it
Like yeah, I like this program because I can make a simple FPS game within minutes (only in Pro version that can make executable files out of levels) but it is playable even if you don't have the pro version. However it can crash unpredictably depending how many addons where installed.
Don't get me wrong though, even though the end product is useless, creating your own game is fantastic fun - just don't expect to become the next Carmack. If you want to do that, start learning binary now. [PC Zone]
Good lord! This game wasn't created, it was excreted... Basically, you'd have more fun putting starved ferrets in a feedbag and strapping it to your crotch. [Jan 2006, p.46]
Its OK, not as good as Unity but functional and fun. Glitches are unavoidable, and graphics (which I don't care about but whatever) are meh, but games are fun and the Model Packs allow new and different games. Everything can be made but don't expect to create the new Half Life or something. Fun to mess around and create games for friends, but if you want to make a complex shooter go for Unity.
Overall, this game is OK. It does give you full control over layout and enemies, power ups, lighting and everything for a game, but there are downsides to this even though its not terrible. The AI isn't that good, if a you're in another room and walk past the door to another room containing enemies (doesn't matter which enemy, built in or from an add-on pack) they will be waiting for you on either side of the door, or if there's one enemy then one side of the door. Also, my last complaint is that on some computers if you are using an Administrator user, and come out of testing the game it crashes. But overall, its a simple and fun game using a drag-and-drop engine but making professional results. I suggest you buy it.
The engine may have been descent a while ago, but now it's just old. It is a point and click engine. It can be somewhat limiting. The real deal breaker is how old and outdated the engine is. It doesn't even support HD even after all the updates to 2012. It has VERY outdated graphics, choppy effects and it runs pretty bad on most PCs. It isn't worth your time.
