Freedom Force vs The 3rd Reich Image
  • Summary: Freedom is threatened yet again and only Minute Man and his heroic Freedom Force can save the day in the follow up to one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2002. Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich brings dynamic storytelling, fast-paced tactical role-play, and larger-than-life characters from the comic book pages to the computer screen. In this title, the league of heroes must travel back in time to defeat Blitzkrieg, defender of the Reich and his homicidal henchmen. With action spanning from the blasted battlefields of World War II to the dazzling depths of distant dimensions, Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich will give Freedom Fans more than they can handle. 1. From involving story to eye-popping graphics, very funny script, incredible characters, great voice acting, ultra-smooth gameplay, and an unusual range of extended play options, FFVTR brings it all together better than any PC game I've played in the past year.
  2. Just when you think the story is winding down, an incredible twist sends the narrative spiraling dramatically in another direction. [May 2005, p.86]
  3. Ignore the presentation, the much-talked-about comic book inspiration. Ignore the artwork, the ridiculous voiceovers and the magnificent origin stories. Pay it no attention. The really funny thing about Freedom Force is how little the funny stuff matters. [May 2005, p.89]

I dont understand what is so great about freedom force. after finally figuring out how to use the game correctly, i realized i REALLY did not like the interface. im not really a fan of this kind of game, but superheroes especially dont interest me. besides that, the cartoony graphics are neat and the germans are pretty funny..but whats the deal with the roman italians? I just played the demo, and unfortunately will not be purchasing this title. I have loved super heroes and comic books since my youth and this only seems to be a mockery of the genre. These Romanesque soldiers come running out of no-wheres and the interface is awful. It would have been great to see the story unfold but i just could not get used to it enough to stomach the duration=P Expand
