It's probably not going to get the recognition it deserves, but it's one of the best metroidvanias we've played in the last few years. If you like the genre, give it a try.
A competent and brilliant metroidvania, that demonstrates Francisco Telléz's talent once again. There are some nuances here and there, and the difficulty curve is not always perfect, but it's still a game that should be played by any fan of the genre.
Hands down the best Metroidvania game you can get, with emphasis on the Metroid playstyle. If you miss a good Metroid-like game this is your game, if not, then it's still an excellent game and worth a shot.
Ghost 1.0 is the top arcade in almost all of its parts. It offers thrilling action and puzzles for thinking. Game experience, which aptly follows the old times with Metroid and Castlevania. It iis just slightly crippled by unbalanced difficulty.
Ghost 1.0 is a great Metroidvania, with some defects as an irregular difficulty curve and some game design choices that do not always work well. However, the plot is well-written and the gameplay is extremely functional.
Francisco returns on the scene with another metroidvania, adding, in order to renew the genre, rogue-like elements. The result is satisfying but imperfect, especially as regards the balance. It represents a shooter inspired exponent of the genre, with a slight irony that lies underneath and involves the player. If you’re a fan, you’d better have a look at it.
Ghost 1.0 is a great game with a great visual style and interesting story and characters, that has moments of huge frustration because of the insane difficulty increases.
This was fun! Loved the game-play and the puzzles. The dialogs and the humor were great. It does get a little repetitive but the story kept me going and it had some nice twists in it. It was fun and it may even be worth a replay in a few months.
Less ambitious but much more polished than Unepic from the same author. I did not like it very much, though it is a good quality indie game. Plot/dialogue is underwhelming, and the plot tasks are very repetitive. Most of the game's actual gameplay is about collecting/applying many items of the same type and surviving security alarms while locked in a room, that become progressively harder, when triggered repeatedly. And puzzles that can become very frustrating because they require too much precision at times. There are some issues with controls too..
The game is pretty fun itself. How about some other ghost other than protagonist herself?
Of course, could be better if more boss fights, and more places to visit:)
From beginning, game is fun to play, with interesting story. After blue and green area of the game, game started to be worse and worse. Terrible and boring to play is last red part of station, where is poor and primitive jumping part with no fun and idea. I stopped to play game, when in one mission is needed to kill boss with basic robot. All collected items, guns and time invested to your character are gone and you have to fight with primitive robot. Also prison, leading to boss, is repetitive and boring with no idea. Boss dIfficulty is not increasing, is unbalanced. All good possibilities and puzzles from blue and green area are gone and no more used. Red and gold area are repetitive and no more ideas are present. Overall game quality is going down.
Game should be fun, if there is used properly good idea with ghost and possibility to move to another robot in better and better puzzles.
SummaryA mysterious agent, capable of becoming a digital ghost, sneaks aboard the Nakamura Space Station. This is where the fun begins: the station is well-protected with its heavy defences, never-ending arsenal of weapons, and mysterious artifacts. It will all have to be destroyed.
