Half Minute Hero feels almost like a parody or subversion of traditional RPGs. It takes the tropes of slow, methodical gameplay and does the complete opposite with it to create a hyper-fast RPG experience. It is unlike any other game that can be experienced and should absolutely be checked out by any long-time RPG fan.
Half-Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy is a really interesting JRPG which first released in PSP and then to **** game has six modes( Hero 30,Evil Lord 30, Princess 30,Knight 30,Hero 300 and Hero 3)and two graphic settings(Neo cartoon and **** Neo cartoon mode the problem is that you can play only a simple stage of Evil lord 30,Princess 3 and Knight 30 an the worst about this is that when you close the and reopen it you have to the change again the graphic settings back to **** game as far i have played it dont suffers from any other problems and its really a good game.9/10
Overall, Half Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy is a very enjoyable game with fantastic characters, a winning formula that never seems to wear out on you and one with a fair amount of replay value. It is an RPG in its most basic form presented to you in a format that is simple and entertaining.
Regardless of whatever technical and aesthetic issues there may be, Half-Minute Hero is still a fantastic and unique game worth experiencing if you haven't had the chance already.
We loved the humorous mood, the direct nature of each level (that would end in five minutes, maximum) and the fact that we didn’t have to grind for experience, as is the case with nearly all RPGs. It’s a game you play while relaxing and sipping on the day’s cup of tea/coffee. [December 2012]
One of the best games I've ever played, but not the best platform to play it on (that goes to the 360 version). There are still some bugs in the PC version, the controls are kind of a mess in some of the PSP modes (ie. the "Princess 30" PSP mode has the key bound on the right to shoot left, key bound on the bottom to shoot up, so it's advised to rebind these keys before starting, but the keybind menu doesn't make it very clear what button does what so it does induce a bit of frustration to get working), and cheaters on the PC version ruin the point of attempting of competing on leaderboards, but otherwise this is a solid game. It's a mashup of what makes all golden-age RPGs great, without some of the things we conveniently forget makes those games a bit of a chore to play these days.
If you don't have a PSP or 360, then it's still worth checking out the PC version. However, I think the 360 version is the best, as I have yet to see any evidence of cheaters on the leaderboard (booting up my copy of the 360 version shows I still have top 10 scores from when I first played it at launch, and the people beating me are only doing it by slight margins, signalling that people aren't cheating and just getting *marginally* better times on the best possible solutions for each map), and they did away with the PSP modes that didn't feel all that great.
Unfortunately, they couldn't emulate the success of this game in its sequel, but this is one of those games that I think will get more appreciated for what it was as time goes on. It's in the same tier of SNES greats like Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, and Dragon Quest as far as I'm concerned.
8/10 on PC due to bugs, control issues and cheaters ruining the leaderboards, 9/10 if you play it on 360 (no bugs, no cheaters, guts the boring PSP modes in place of more story-centric adrenaline-fueled puzzle mayhem), PSP is somewhere between those two.
The perfect game to pickup when I have 30 minutes in between classes and I want to burn some time playing rather than reading or studying. Other than that its a game that will probably sit in the library mostly unpicked.
We tested the game live, and the spectators had fun most well. Fast level up, funny characters diverse missions. The graphics not today's, but to this game and a style a dot burns. He brought back the 8 bit feelings. Unfortunately the game 1-2 clocks turns into good but soon boring one. Worthy every now and then to take out. If not obliging purchase, because of that because of the price recommended.
what should have been DLC at half the price, cost twice as much for the first game. While it does add badly needed updates to the game, it feels more like the developer is nickel and dime-ing players to death.
I cannot condone this kind of developer behavior.
