  • Summary: In Heroes of Might and Magic IV: Winds of War, players are transported to the land of Channon, a large and populous kingdom occupying most of Axeoth's northern continent. The shining capital city has become the target of no less than five invading armies who covet its lands and riches. Players assume the roles of five conquerors, each staging his own uniquely driven invasion, before facing a showdown for ultimate control. [3DO] Expand

  1. Enough to warrant an expansion I suppose, but nothing has really changed from the previous expansion or the original.
  2. And while the campaigns are challenging and engaging, it comes down to the fact that it’s really just more of the same. Then again, if it isn’t broken, why fix it?
  3. A lot of the same, but nothing remotely new, which, with this title, is not such a bad thing.
  4. 60
Offers enough value to justify its purchase. However, it does not improve the original game, and only fixes some balancing issues that were introduced by the first expansion.
  5. The additions are more serviceable than inspiring. [June 2003, p.87]
  6. With both this expansion and its predecessor, Heroes IV expansions only give you more of the same... and charge you $30 for the pleasure. Does that make this a bad game? No, it doesn't, but it is a bad expansion.
  7. The degeneration continues. [Aug 2003, p.90]

I thought it was quite good better than the original definetely, but i just got a bit bored of only having a few teams to choose from. there were loads more in heroes 3 but i loved being able to use ur heroes in battle. Expand
