PeteN.Dec 30, 20058This is not meant to be a flight simulation on the same par as the MS series of games or IL2, it has more stimulation over simulation ! no hanging about flying to missions or landing, just straight up dog fights and action. But don't go thinking it's easy!

SmackerJ.Mar 5, 20065Fun game Definitely worth a 7 or 8 out of 10. Just a word of warning: this game installs an active & very invasive form of copyright (SecuROM) that hooks to the net when playing the game or not -- even after game is un-installed.

JasonC.Oct 17, 20059Great stuff! Haven't played a more fun plane game in a long time! Only missing those co-op missions.. otherwise fantastic.

ScottH.Dec 25, 20050Has this game been ported from the Xbox to the PC?! The Graphics rock, but the gameplay SUCKS. A BIG WASTE of $40 The plane is very difficult to control. Nothing like any fighter sim I've ever played, and not in a good way!

NormBDec 14, 20090Tried every thing but heroes would not connect to my PC logtech controller. No reply from help desk. Put it in the bin.

I'm not one for flight sims, but Heroes of the Pacific has given me a reason to enjoy the genre. [Sept 2005, p.57]

Some of the bombing runs in the solo campaign can prove quite arduous, but the dazzling pyrotechnics and adrenaline rush of flying your P38 Lightning through anti-aircraft fire make it easy to press the restart button if you fail your objectives.

If intense dogfights and Yankie banter sound appealing then Heroes of the Pacific is for you; sadly the repetitive gameplay is a major deciding for everybody else.
