How to Survive: Third Person Standalone brings something new to the table, but not enough to please those who already played the original version of the game.
It's just a new perspective for How to Survive. It does work, but depending on your previous experience with the game, it's up to you to decide whether it worth it or not.
In some ways this zombie survival game could be a big hit yet the only change here is the camera prospective witch is a plus if only the aiming could be more polished changed i think the worst part is aiming since the moment u start to aim with ranged waepons and zombies running toward you by the time u aim you are allready dead zombies coming close to you u start dancing rather than killing them so the point is it needded more changes in the combat section so frankly i liked better the isometric vew better
Another edition of the ever-growing How To Survive family, this time with a new perspective... that unfortunately doesn't justify a standalone version.
Moving the camera behind the player's shoulders isn't nearly enough to offer a new experience, especially when you do so without rebalancing the whole game.
It would have been a great free update, perhaps as an inducement to a new expansion pack, but this change to a "third person" view does not justify a standalone version.
I got this game because I was amused by what it was trying to offer; but after I actually got to the game, Lord have mercy, How To Survive: Third Person Standalone is a complete trash for a game with more than ridiculous animations, graphics, story line, voice acting and all. I gave this 1/10 because the game, in theory, is good. But when it actually boils down to the actual game itself, it's worse than the worst. Games of the previous generations are several times better than this piece of disappointment.
This should be an option in the original game. Adding a new camera angle and reselling that as a new game is absolutely shocking. At the very most this should be a £0.50 add-on.
SummaryA single player 3rd person view experience that allows you to re-play the zombie crafting adventure "How to Survive" from an immersive point of view.
