    The expansion to Icewind Dale, this was criticised at launch for tedious areas with lots of the same enemies. It's true that the Gloam Frost is a slog. However, there are some truly exciting moments, too: the Cloak Tower (?) wizards, the white dragon. It gets an 8 for the Trials of the Luremaster expansion -- a free download if you bought this, and a wonderful little knot of storytelling.… Expand

    Simply: it's the Icewind Dale 1.5. Nice story line, nice locations, hard-to-kill enemies. What would you want more from this game? It could be called Icewind Dale 2 and my rating would be still the same.… Expand
