Few games can rival this one. It has everything, dramatic events, crazy characters and some of the nastiest villains out there. Despite a difficulty that can get in the way of the story progress at times, you will have a tremendously enjoyable moment living the adventure of these characters. Pure Genius!
A fantastic mix of japanese and western RPG in a sprawling adventure that could take you in excess of 100 hours to finish (my time was over 80 hours and I wasn't even done yet). A must-play for the cheap price it asks.
One of the best RPG ever. 2D graphics that are not overly impressive but a gigantic adventure full of surprises!
Make yourself a favor and go to the Aldorlea website to download it. You'll be addicted in no time!
Laxius Force is the first part of a stunning trilogy. It's a game full of excitement, thrill, fun and also tragedy. As a player you're not only playing this game, you're more and more living it as the story proceeds. In addition to the well developed main quest there are loads of sidequests to do and your party is constantly growing.
It's a huge game that provides hours and hours and hours of fun and it's extremely addictive.
People who love RPG games should definitely not miss that one!
This is a very big game with a nice presentation and a great story. The pixel art is beautiful and the character artworks definitely add to the uniqueness of the game.
I bought it from Gamersgate and I will probably get the sequel as well once I'm done with all the quests in this one (there are a lot). While the game may be a bit costly for an indie RPG (it's priced 15â
Laxius Force is not for everyone. If you believe that RPGs need to be 3D, fully voiced and with "lot of action", then you should definitively look elsewhere. But if you are willing to invest some time into it and accept this game for what it is, then you might discover that Laxius Force is a hidden gem. There are many memorable characters, tons of quests (100+), huge dungeons to explore, plenty of weapons and armors and the battle system is turn-based and very well thought, with statuses (such as Stun, Silenced) and elemental resistances (Fire, Air, ...). The game is also very long, I would say 30 - 80 hours, depending on your willingness to discover its secrets. I won't spoil anything about the story, but I can say that it's very intriguing, with lots of twists and strong moments. When I take the Laxius trilogy as a whole (Laxius Force is only first part of a whole serie), I would say that the story is the best I've ever seen in any game. As for the drawbacks - the amount of fights can be too much for someone (I personally enjoy it, but not everyone feels the same, I guess) and the game can be very tricky and challenging, for example some quests can only be completed at one specific moment, so they are very easy to miss, some need items that are very hard to find (and you can only do so for a short part of the game and so on). Once again - I find this good (There's no way you will make a "perfect playthrough" for the first time - which is very good for replayability.), but if you want a more "accessible" RPGMaker experience, than I would recommend games like Millennium.
Nice game, fun jokes and characters, plot is a bit confusing but it has all the epicness most gamers want in a game like this. If you can go paste the poor definition of the characters this game has a lot going and a lot to root for.
