  • Summary: LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures takes the fun and creative construction of LEGO and combines it with the wits, daring and non-stop action from the original cinematic adventures that enthralled audiences everywhere (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). With a unique tongue-in-cheek take on the original adventures, LEGO Indiana Jones follows Dr. Jones escapades through the jungles of South America to the mountaintops of India. Fans can build, battle and brawl their way through their favorite cinematic moments, from Indy's entanglements with snakes to his dashing boulder run. Pop culture's most iconic archeologist whips through all the classic moments with the help of a host of supporting characters including Marion Ravenwood and Short Round. Players can also mix and match the body parts of more than 60 playable characters to create new heroes just as they could in the LEGO Star Wars games. [LucasArts] Expand

  1. The concept is as bizarre as it is successful, the gameplay is well fleshed out, and I'll be totally honest and tell you that sometimes it's best to kid around, if only we'd be blessed with products such as this more often.
  2. Without a doubt, LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures is a worthy addition to the witty and entertaining LEGO gaming franchise. Once you are comfortable using the occasionally awkward PC keyboard controls or preferably hooking up a game controller, you will quickly become immersed in the game's addictive gameplay.
  3. Lego Indiana Jones enables you to play through the story of the first three movies. Fans will enjoy legendary scenes like the escape from the stone sphere, the roller coaster ride in a mine lorry or the motorboat chase in Venice. The game is a good mix of jump and run, action and riddles, but suffers a bit because of problems with the camera and AI. It's the third Lego game and these problems should have been solved by now. But it's still a lot of fun.

Even if you make only one trip through LEGO Indiana Jones, it'll be a great ride.
  5. Old-school, classic, no-nonsense joy based around possibly the finest trilogy of films ever made. [Aug 2008, p.64]
  6. Despite the criticisms, it's as good as the last couple of Lego outings; slightly better, actually. It just lacks the novelty value. [July 2008, p.76]
  7. In a nutshell, we've been pleasantly surprised by Lego Indy. Most moviegoers and gamers will enjoy it. [Issue#9, p.50]

LEGO Indiana Jones is the best LEGO game since LEGO Star Wars II and it's equally good, the graphics have been improved, the characters look more like LEGO minifigures and well, the game is based of the original Indiana Jones trilogy ignoring the abomination that is Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, like LEGO Star Wars II you collect red bricks and do the traditional LEGO game things, collect coins, collect minkits and have alot of fun, though I did have one problem with this game, it's not a big one but when jump onto a pipe to shimmy the game starts shaking and if you stay on the pipe too long you will fall to your death. So besides that the game is great. 10/10 Expand

This game is awesome. Actually my father bought it for my two little stepsisters, but i had fun with it as well and i'm over 20!! It just makes fun to solve these puzzles in teamwork! Only shortage: sometimes the camera points just somewhere and you don't have a clue in which direction you gotta jump! Expand

A very good value for money game (got it for £18); many platform adventure games i have played haven't caught my attention as much the Lego series has. Even though this is supposed to appeal to a younger audience, it's colour and silent humour kept me playing to the end. Although after playing it through once, the game seems to loose it's shine as the reward for getting 100% completion is a let down after alot of effort and time is required for it in the first place; thus leading to me dropping it to a rating of 8.
