Impale knights on spikes to create a safe path. Catch a knight on a saw blade (ouch!) to strategically land the body on a button. Freeze your knights into blocks of ice to reach higher ground. Make your way through this strange, treacherous, and trap-ridden world to find the Cup of Life. On your quest, you will summon knight after knight and brutally sacrifice them to solve each challenging puzzle. In Life Goes On, death is not a setback—it is the only means to success. Expand

An inventive and outlandish puzzler that executes with bloodthirstily aplomb.

A good platform with some value: passing away into videogames has never been so much fun as it is in Life Goes On.

Life Goes On is an ingenious puzzle game that puts a whole new spin on dying in video games. Sadly its’ biggest downfall is the fact that the game is on the short and easy side, but if you’re trying to get every achievement and medal in the game, you can squeeze out a few more hours from this one. If you don’t mind all of that, I definitely recommend picking this one up.

There’s no way to get bored in Life Goes On. Partly because it frequently introduces new obstacles and other elements of environment, but also due to the fact that it only lasts for three hours. [06/2014, p.67]

A funny take on death in videogames, but it has a short life span (just as its characters) and will leave you wanting for more.

An inventive puzzle game that’s too short and easy to recommend—worthwhile only for the novelty of its concept.

The puzzles are moderately challenging, but not frustrating, and the mechanics of the game are fun. It gets high praise from me for teaching you new game rules without needing to throw a tutorial at you; you get to learn the game as you play. Allowing you to figure out these concepts is very satisfying; it's too bad that more games don't work this way. It's oddly refreshing to play a game where dying is not the end of the game and falling into a trap is a legitimate way to win. My only complaint is that the game is feels a little short. It's possible to play though this entire game in a few sittings. There are some bonus challenges, so that extends the life of the game to a degree. The end credits in particular are pretty awesome.
