  1. A decent add-on for a great game. Some new buildings would have been nice. [May 2010]
  2. As a grizzled and scarred veteran of the original this expansion pack offered a satisfying challenge to get my teeth into. Anyone who enjoyed the game will enjoy this expansion.
  3. Majesty 2: Kingmaker will appeal to two types of people; those who enjoyed the original so much that they cuddle the game box while they sleep, and masochists.
  4. It’s still polished, still clever – shame it isn’t anything particularly special.
  5. Kingmaker is a more-of-the-same expansion for Majesty 2 that adds little to the original game's formula aside from intense difficulty and a map editor.
  6. Short but extremely tough add-on to the kingdom sim may address devotees of the original game but brings no better playability or improvements except for the map editor. [Issue#191]
  7. Basically eight new maps for Majesty 2. [July 2010, p.91]
  8. If you liked Majesty 2, don’t pick up Kingmaker. Better wait for the inevitable Gold Edition that is bound to hit shelves sooner or later.

  1. Majesty 2: Kingmaker does nothing Majesty 2 doesn't already do save for adding little green men, a new potion for heroes to buy and a storyline that's more memorable than that of Majesty 2. On top of that, you can still apply the same strategy to each and every map and it is all still a rather monotonous grind but sometimes that's exactly what you need to relax. Full Review »
