In a market full of dull sequels, here's a follow-up that shows how expansion should be done.
An excellent buy for those who love its forefathers and is still best in its class. [June 2003, p.117]
Not only does it add a very new and entertaining Campaign experience with a lot of replay, but also buffs up the original game with new content meant to refine.
It's fun and more manageable than the original, thanks to the new campaign, and is ultimately a worthwhile addition to the original game.
It doesn't do anything spectacularly new, but it does give you plenty of new content, new units to play with, and enough tweaks to the original title to make it worth another run through.
A top-notch expansion pack that Medieval fans will love. You get a major new campaign as well as lots of extras for "Medieval Total War" that substantially increases its life.
An efficient and well thought out expansion. Short, tight and intense, it's a considerably different experience from Medieval proper and well worth experiencing. [June 2003, p.105]
